Water tanks and mineral?

Has anyone ever added mineral to a water tank and had any luck? Currently looking for a way to run off season mineral without having the headache of having it leaching into the dirt.
 
I think it’s called Deer Oasis, but I put a water hole in the other day and was going to look into trying some out because I remember reading about it a year or two ago but couldn’t find anything about it on their website any more. There’s a product called EH-Defense I heard about on Jake Hofer’s podcast a couple weeks ago, but I’m not sure if it’s just to combat midges in muddy water holes or if there is an attractiveness factor there.
 
EH Defense is just to combat the midge and its a waste of money imo. But to each their own. Yes deer oasis is what I use. Apple flavor. I had a mature buck that was hitting it everyday like clockwork. Can be a deadly combo.
