Drone seeding 2 acres near oskaloosa?

Evenly spread in corn or bean fields - fast & efficient with no crop damage, no overlap or missing spots. Corn would clearly be later. No doubt that beans can be done by hand spreader. It’s just speed & and efficiency… if a guy had (5) five acre plots in some made up example- make fast work...

Drone seeding 2 acres near oskaloosa?

Growing industry for sure & guessing it’s still super hard to find for hire. Bet it grows over time. Let me know if u do find anyone. Here’s a ? For all you guys…. What would u guys pay per acre when it’s for plots? If it’s only a few acres- I’d pay pretty darn well as I know guy has to...

    TSI

if it were mine… I’ll give you 2 answers actually …. I probably would go in there ONE DAY & knock over some “junk” (don’t hit good oaks when anything tips) to create structure asap before season. In one day you could get a few hundred trees super easy - cut & hinged or just structure on the...

    Cattails

U can read label but I do believe triclopyr / garlon can be used. Might check label on imazapyr as well… it might not be the right herbicide for it so do read the label …. But it’s potent stuff & worth checking into. Im not 100% sure on either but I suspect one or both would work and those...

    Brassicas

No issue at all. I’d prefer rain the next day if u applying 2,4-d. All that stuff is gonna kill the plant in first 60 minutes anyways. Anyone on here…. No living plant when u plant brassicas …. Needs to all be dead. Like any N user: corn, brassicas, etc - doesn’t like competition & I would...

    What county?

Absolutely has taken a beating. I talk to folks in any direction from me… any distance… 2 miles or 20 miles …. The average farms are for sure much harder & the amount of mature bucks way less. I’d guess I’ve had “500” of these discussions & just listening to guys in the last 10 years. On...

    What county?

Taylor, Adams. Then: Montgomery, Guthrie & maybe handful of others. Literally counties no one talks about that IMHO, will have better age class on the average farms- by a good bit. Not targeted & high graded near to the degree of the “well known counties”. Way less people & pressure on the...

    Brassicas

    Humic/ humates/ fulvic acid

it’s worth trying for sure. In general, stuff like humic acid for sure have benefits. Humic acid is out there naturally of course but yes- at a very basic level- for sure have some benefits. I’d try some & leave some areas untreated to see the difference. There’s a lot of “experimenting”...

    Liberty herbicide & brassicas

the times I was within “days” of spray to planting - I had major issues. If I waited like several weeks- no issues. I personally avoid it now…. Maybe I’ll use liberty earlier in season but I do avoid it near brassica planting now for sure.

    Broadleaf herbicide

Yep. Depends on the rate too. The big thing with 2,4-d…. If it rains. Once it rains- u r generally safe after that. Of course label is the legal route u need to take & always a part of this. Label is also giving that Interval if there is no rain. Any kinda 2,4-d - they generally are 7...

YOU have white pines around to cut??? WI, MN, etc?

Hey guys- little networking here…. Any of you in MN or WI have a place to cut white pines? I am gonna drive up with a trailer & I would thin them just like timber stand improvement - thinning cedars or whatever. I’m sure some regions have em where they grow like crazy- kinda like our cedars...
