Some of the crops look pretty average . Too much rain. I’d guess it will be a below average yield in my county. There are pockets of nice looking fields.

Hunting strategy—It’s not a secret but if the wind is out of NE & we get 2+ inches of snow … I’ve had some dang good encounters with bucks, both in Iowa and Minnesota! Take the day off or afternoon off if you can !

Cameras are important… I caught my neighbor mowing “my CRP” & “my weedy clover” with a nice beautiful path for our deer to walk on ! The nerve ! ;)

I hear a lot of stuff online about could be the 1980s again … & the land market will crash . First off, the 1980s are not coming back ! It was a great time grow up, but the days of minimal $$ floating around, no cell phones, no internet … it’s all changed . There was not the same crop guarantee...

Get your Iowa group together & stress this … You poach a Buck at night, no firearms or hunting licenses for 10 years ? Huge penalty! Make it a serious offense !

Congratulations, looks nice ! A huge key would be to not be in there all the time. It’s tempting, but lack of human intrusion really helps. Hopefully a good rut spot !
