I’m going to try some Red Osier dogwood cuttings in Iowa … anyone had success ? I’ve only done it a few times, any tips would be appreciated.

I think Hackberry would do well in a re-plant with some shade . I’m a fan, some landowners do not like to plant hackberry ? I think they mix in nice with oak .

It depends on how much sun, but it won’t hurt to try . I’ve seen oak come up nice in a cut area .
