I was not the one who originally compared Mr. Walker to a commi icon. I had also previously asked how the AK works on coyotes. This was a reference to that and not the funneling of power to the top that often happens when a utopia is promised. Even if that isn’t the goal it is usually the...
The hammer and sickle part was a joke. I’d rather have a spear or the slingshot somebody else mentioned. Bowhunters get over 2 months to hunt!! 2 virtually uninterrupted months (other than early muzzleloader)!! We have the ENTIRE RUT to hunt. Our bow season does not get any better or...
How many have actually used Plot start/etc?? Obviously sounds good/convenient and maybe better than nothing but I have a bit of an agronomy background and just can’t see how it really works. Totally understand they claim it’s more of a chemical reaction or whatever but still.. anybody...
Berseem can possibly be a waste when frost seeding for sure. It is not as bad as I originally thought tho even tho it’s an annual. Does at least grow quicker than some of the others and can help take browsing pressure off while they get established. Most people say crimson is also a waste to...
If party hunting were to be banned more than likely the regs would read exactly like the turkey regs that clearly state that the assisting hunter may not carry a firearm unless he has an unfilled tag. Can guarantee everybody will whine and jump to change any perceived loophole. The bigger...
I have cheap access to every food plot blend/seed available and John has always answered every question i’ve ever had even if he knew he was never going to complete on price. I have a lot of respect for that
I hate to even say this but even as a very very small customer John has offered up great advice in the past!!! He even knows I know RW and WI retailers and has been nothing but helpful in every conversation.
Thanks!! I got a few small places under an acre that I don’t exactly want to ask co-op/retailer friends to do and always wondered what other people do in those situations. I’d obviously bite the bullet and pay for whatever but we all know the going rate doesn’t exactly make it worth doing for...
Just been too much drought and too many variables for me to have a solid opinion on chickory. I know it is supposed to do better in a drought but honestly do not know if it got established well enough to make a difference. I always end up over seeding everything with rye so it’s always kind if...
curious too!! Always heard it was a hedge for drought but have also heard from other “experts” that chickory is worthless this far north. Hopefully someone has more experience
I don’t live in an area where rec ground moves as often as other parts of the state but have seen comps of 50/50 timber/pasture and ag go from 5-6 on the low end to 8-9 on the other. All the same csr/ quality of timber etc but limited market in the area and a few months difference at...
Yep!!! Worth looking into!! Clover/chickory has never been too hard for me to figure out my own blends but on stuff I’m not as familiar with John’s advice has always been awesome.
I’ve used quite a few WI products but also know quite a few guys that sell real world products…. Can’t admit this to them but i’ve been absolutely thrilled with Northwoods Whitetail products as of late. Unbelievable service no matter who you are
