    dead buck question?

Like Muddy stated 9 times out of 10 you will get a salvage tag and from the quote above it appears that CO didn't want to give one for this particular big buck. I would assume it will come down to several factors. CO's mood, person who found it's residents, time of year, along side the road or...

    dead buck question?

I have called our CO for 4 salvage tags in the past several years. The CO always comes out and inspects the remains and runs over them with his metal detector. He has yet to find anything. Every time so far he has issued me a salvage tag, however the largest buck was mid 140's. I have a funny...

    Awesome Muddy Climbing Sticks

I will probably give them a year before I buy. From my experience springs and cold weather, mix like oil & water. Ice storm's like last years, getting that buckle to let lose of it's grip may also be a problem. Good looking design IMO, and the harness adaptability is also a good idea. Not...

    Lone Wolf Stand Question

I leave the cushion on the stand, flip it up, but not so high that it hits the tree. I have found that if it hits the tree it absorbs the moisture like a sponge when it rains, this goes for gorilla seats as well.

    Hiking boots

I believe I posted this back before your trip when you asked. I own the top of the line Danner Elk Hunters, they are incredible boots and I wore mine the first two days while trekking the Idaho mountains. Then I put on my Miendl Denali, it was like night and day guys. The support, quality and...

    The Good, Bad, and Ugly

Sweet pics. Question: Are you sure the last two are of the same buck? I looked at the date/time and yes they are only a minute apart, but I zoomed in on them and i just don't see the same headgear.

    Simmons Buck?

Hide a tiny locating chip in it, shouldn't be hard it has 260"+ of antler. Then make a couple replicas of it. Show off the original. If some piece of sh&@ steals it, turn on the locater and you might find the Andrews buck as well.

    Broken Antlers

I voted, no as well. But think of this, if they could come up with a set-up where it looks totally natural, yet be removable, maybe a magnet or something along those lines I would reconsider doing this. That way when showing it off I could pull off the tine etc. to show what the harvest looked...
