Seems those pheasants love the ditches. Back in school we hunted the ditches a lot for pheasants, but usually parked and walked them.

I think there should be exceptions to father and sons/daughters. I think the way the law is written is to try to prevent people from even becoming drivers in a season they're not licensed. (example - a season 1 hunter just going along to 'push' for season 2 groups)

Is there a 'lifespan' listed on these ? Or are there sometimes just inferior steps ? Glad neither of you guys was injured - that certainly could have been disastrous.

I've only tried rattling with the rattle bag, and have only had smallish bucks respond so far.

This is the first year I've used the can (previously just had a doe bleat). I've had mixed results also, and only use it when I have a buck in my sight. I've never had any huge bucks in sight, so I can't comment on that. I canned back a decent 8 pt last sunday after he busted me drawing...

Nice job. I know many on this site make it look easy to harvest those huge bucks. I'd have to agree with the comments of 'any deer with a bow is a trophy'. That's what's so addictive. Congratulations.
