I think there’s 33 in this pic, it was from the first place we hunted this morning. It’s a 160 that’s all CRP. We had a big group of hunters. I think 17 in all. Hunted one other spot and ended up with just over 40. Called it a day at 11:30.

Had waterhemp and marestail bad at the farm. It was taller then I’d like when we sprayed it…2 pints per acre of 2, 4-D smoked it.

How much bait do you put in them Skip? I catch plenty in z traps and never fill up to the trigger

In my experience seeding yard grass at work, I’d give it a couple weeks. That’s purely anecdotal evidence so take it for what it’s worth. I’ve also seeded brassicas a week after spraying and done fine, but also had plenty of rain. Sorry I don’t have a better answer.

I believe there’s 3 species of poisonous snakes here, timber rattler, massasagua, and prairie rattler. The second two are only found in a couple of specific spots, so the odds of encountering them are pretty remote.

I’m almost 100% sure that neither are found in Iowa. Northern water snakes are commonly confused as water moccasins.
