I think there’s 33 in this pic, it was from the first place we hunted this morning. It’s a 160 that’s all CRP. We had a big group of hunters. I think 17 in all. Hunted one other spot and ended up with just over 40. Called it a day at 11:30.

Heading down to the farm tomorrow to plant our last acre of food plot, a mix of rye, oats, clover, radish, and winter pea. After that’s done, we’re putting up some mock rub/scrape trees.

In my experience seeding yard grass at work, I’d give it a couple weeks. That’s purely anecdotal evidence so take it for what it’s worth. I’ve also seeded brassicas a week after spraying and done fine, but also had plenty of rain. Sorry I don’t have a better answer.
Found a dead raccoon on campus when I was a tree trimmer. It was winter time, I thought it would be a “fun” experiment to see what happens when ran through the chipper. All it did was “rattle around” between the feed wheels and the drum. Really gave me the chance to savor the flavor. Took more...
I believe there’s 3 species of poisonous snakes here, timber rattler, massasagua, and prairie rattler. The second two are only found in a couple of specific spots, so the odds of encountering them are pretty remote.
