It's getting late. You might still be ok, but it will be pollinating in August, the hottest and driest month. In all honestly, I would not plant it. Id go with beans, or turnips.
Turnips and beans. Corn is nice, but a waste of money as its usually gone so fast.
If you have the room a good mix of both. The turnips are a must, in case they hammer the beans they should still be around. Its worked for me for the last few years. And I'll be doing it again.
The kicker is the rise in population. I've seen some models and its nuts what could happen in 20 years. Food will be king for along time. No matter what or how its used.
The answer is yes. They are in a few mixes already. I've thought about it myself. Like you said they might not reach maturity, but still should produce some significant ruffage
Anytime in the spring. I think I got this stuff in around mid June. I tilled in some urea, and then hand broadcasted it just before some rain. I have used my drill before, but I was lazy on this one..I've heard you can plant it into late June and be ok.
