Id just stick to beans. Corn is nice, but you will have better success with beans. Corn, I think is overrated. To get a really good stand everything must be perfect, and then the deer can still pound it.

Had this guy come in during shotgun season, could not pass him up. Comparing jaw bones with other known age deer, he appears to be over 5 possibly six. Big old Jelly neck! Watch the video here. Always a treat to take out an old boy. Now its time for late season.

I've played with them. Id get the larger ones, more volume. They are more convient then the real thing and that's what I like. I'm presently using sheds, but only because I want to call in the deer that the sheds belong to. Otherwise i would use it. Granted they are sponsoring the show.

Deer go to where the food is. Late season is a very poor time to be judging how many deer there are on your farm. It can be very misleading. If you have lots of food, you will draw a lot of deer in from along ways off.

I beg to differ. IR may not produce a true quality photo, but they are less intrusive.

You will probably be ok thru bow season, but I doubt any will be left for late season. Although that's dependant on deer density. Around here, I'd suggest 3 ac at minimum. Course, I'm planting it not buying standing crop.

Reconx if price isn't an issue. They are hands down the best. Otherwise, go with bushnell. They have a good two year warranty.
