    Corn germination Question

    With the weather we have had, I wouldn't expect to see much more if any more germination. I would replant but instead of broadcast seeding plant the seed at 1.5 to 2 inches below the soil surface. This will increase germination rates.

    Which turkey season are you hunting?

    What are your thoughts on this unusually warm weather this early in the season? Is this going to have an affect on the turkey hunting later in the season? I was planning on going 4th season but I dont know if that will be as good of an idea with this early warm weather.

    What to plant?????

    Considering its in a drainage area, I would plant a clover that is better adapted to wetter soils. Whiteclover and Birdsfoot Triefoil would be two good options. You could even mix in a cool season grass to go with it if you want.
