Getting my mind off politics...Hunting bikes.

That was always my biggest complaint from QuietKat, the battery life was awful. Even from brand new. Their customer service was not good either, as I complained several times about having 20 total miles on the bike and couldn't get more than a few miles and battery would be dead. Having to buy...

Getting my mind off politics...Hunting bikes.

I've had a QuietKat that was total junk IMO. Currently have a Yammee Fat Bear(china) and a Rambo. Both are nice bikes. For the cost, I would buy the Yammee again 10 times over the QuietKat or Rambo. They're well built with name brand components and they fold in half. yammeebike.com Guess it...

Just picked up 1.2" last night in SC Iowa. Was a hit or miss storm. Thankful I got some but could certainly use more with all this heat.

    Bear Paw Guide, MN

Funny you mention this. I hunted this exact area in 2018 for my first bear hunt with a bow. Passed up over 20 bears before shooting the one I did on day 4. Weighed 450#. Beautiful country around there also.

Hunting lease website- check this out!!!

I see both sides of this issue being a NR with a KS farm. I get 1 tag because of being a NRLO, which part of me thinks is deserved for owning the land, paying taxes on it, etc, but I understand if I was a R in KS, I may feel like you do and think we don't deserve one. The tag can only be used on...

    Like Button

Yes, that's what I mean. People are liking things in certain threads but I can't on certain ones. It's not thread specific if the button is missing, seems more member specific depending on the thread.

    Like Button

No, but it seems to vary depending on the person. I see people liking things in the Switchgrass thread but my like button is missing.

Turning the corner in the real estate market?

I have a feeling you are going to see more of this, and not just these counties, if you are a NRLO. You take EHD outbreaks, bow tag wait hitting 5-6 years, no longer able to party hunt during gun, and prices are super high, people may want to cash out and either do something else with their...

Yeah, I don't get that. Right now certain threads don't have a "like" button and most others do. At least from my computer

Great podcast to listen to! Steve Hansen on the Land Podcast

I agree. Major change of the game was cell cams. They're cheap and most everyone who has a farm runs them or some sort of camera. Literally every good genetic buck is being watched by someone

    Deer feeders

I've got (2) "All Season" brand 2500# feeders I run on my KS farm in remote areas I don't go in but to fill them up. They're like 3-4 years old now and still look new. Some deer don't mind eating out of them but for sure, some mature bucks just avoid them all together.

    CRP Mid Contract Change

They might allow it but you would probably have to buy back the acreage you want to change. Example, you want to buy back 10 acres and they paid out $150/acre every year for 5 years of your contract. You would need to pay back $7500 they paid out to you, plus any cost share they paid to help put...
