I'll go with 3. Even if he's 4, knowing the jump that a deer can make from their 3-4yr old year, or 4-5 yr old year is enough to know he will likely be a Giant next year..... IF he makes it.

Muddy, our farm is in between Nevada and Colo. About a 15 min drive to Ames. There are some nice homes along the Indian creek/Hickory grove area. Nice country feel while being a close drive to town.
I hunt in town quite a bit. While I can understand where bladedbrows is coming from, its not quite that bad depending where you're at. There are still good deer out there. Mike Gaul runs a good program and is a good person to talk to.
I personally spend more in gas $ each year then anything else. This year im going to try to figure out cost of meat. (What we would have spent on beef) but instead used venison.
oh.. I almost forgot. There was the time I had dropped my cell phone on the ground and conveniently threw the gut pile on top of it. Didn't figure it out until a couple miles away when I couldn't find my phone.
I left my scentlok coat on the ground after I got back to my truck. I was parked right inside the bean field enterance right off the hwy. With all the traffic that drives past there, I wasn't surprised when it wasn't there 2 days later.
