Anyone paid attention to this in farm bill

I got word that the amendment was either reworded or completely pulled out of the Farm Bill this morning.

Anyone paid attention to this in farm bill

I guess i should use "legalese" ... he "had a high degree of confidence that it would not advance as worded"

Anyone paid attention to this in farm bill

Yes. I am really involved with a government affairs team in the conservation space. We had a meeting with our guy in DC and he said it will not advance to a House floor vote as worded in the amendment. It's gotten a lot of attention from the dog training world.

    Whats your Camo.?

I have an absolute hodgepodge. Most of my bitter cold outer layers are Sitka, I love the windstopper. I also qualify for their pro-program so that helps make the decision easier. I do think the EVII camo is "ugly" but the deer don't seem to care. Midlayers/mild weather is mixed Asio, some First...

    HF 2657 - special lottery for non-residents

Yeah I'm with HillRunner. I've seen the direction this state is going in many regards and have no problem jumping to SD if the residency advantages get shot to hell.

    HF 2657 - special lottery for non-residents

That's it. Any mixed-use rec farm would qualify, right? Basically any farm with cash rent, crop-share, or CRP would qualify a NRLO for a tag or entry into the "special application"? Am I understanding that correctly?

    Chemical and Freezing Temps

So early this winter we did a garage clean out/organization day and my wife put my tote of chemical in our outdoor storage area and I hadn't noticed until now. No protection from the temps. Will this affect their effectiveness, potency, etc? It was gly, 2-4-D, liquid AMS and surfactant...

    NW iowa proposed regs..

Exactly. The will of the people is great and all, but that doesn't always align with what is best for the resource. Scientific wildlife management shouldn't be a strict democratic process (ex- ballot initiatives CO has tried to push through). The will of the people would've continued market...

Not sure how new it is, maybe last few years? I know their "corners for wildlife" program has been going on for a long time and this is basically the same thing but this applies more broadly. Not just pivot corners. They were great to work with and it was super simple.

Its not CRP. It's a program through Nebraska Pheasants Forever called Pathways for Wildlife.

Sorry guys, I could've been more clear. This buffer strip is on a different farm in southeast Nebraska, not the Iowa farm with iffy cropping history I alluded to earlier in this thread. That is a CP-43. A lot of forbs in the mix, some switch, blue and indiangrass but not the higher %s you'd...

Interesting, you say the rally is due to the Iran conflict? What are the market conditions effecting that one?

Buffer strips will often see the highest, even maxed out, rates because of their direct effect on water quality. We did 7ac spring and got the max as well
