They don't look good. I highly recommend that you plant a few different varieties so if down the road you have issues such as posted it probably won't effect all the varieties.

Be very careful not to take off to soon. Bucks love to rub their antlers on them. I have taken some tubes off at about 2" diameter and protected the chestnut tree with wire fenching just for a test. One tree they got the wire way up the tree and almost ruined the tree.

I diffently think it's a shop built. But don't recognize the row units.
