    I used to hunt NW MN (Red River Valley). They grow a lot of sugar beets in that area . The deer would literally trot to the sugar beets fields bypassing corn & soybeans . We shot a couple nice bucks that way .

    Yeah, I guess that wasn’t an option in my situation. Since you give up control of the land. I could definitely see a valuable tillable/income farm with heirs using an irrevocable trust—you can still get the income from cash rent.
