    Something I learned about EHD….

A friend and whitetail expert told me that buzzards will not consume a deer that’s died from EHD. There may be some buzzard activity shortly after a deer dies, but they will not stick around for long. I saw a deer in September at 5 pm and other than his having saliva dripping from his mouth, he...

EHD REPORTING TO DNR - DO IT! LINK HERE….

I completed a report after locating a deer I had seen 48 hours earlier. Other than the saliva that was dripping out of his mouth, he appeared alert and healthy. He was in a drainage ditch that held a few pools of water. To address some of your questions…. I included an email address and phone...

    Advice on killing poison ivy…

This might work but cool weather is approaching and I don’t want to have to deal with this stuff next spring. I do have some concentrated Roundup. Appreciate it.

    Advice on killing poison ivy…

I’m leaning towards REMEDY. Plenty of good suggestions. Fire is out since I’m working around a wooden fence. I don’t know where to get ahold of a goat. I’ve done a little looking around but it’s been a long day and I’m lazy. Can I buy a fairly small amount somewhere and not spend much?

    Advice on killing poison ivy…

I have sprayed some well established poison ivy a half dozen times over the summer. I’ve left it alone for a month and allowed some new growth. I’ve used only Roundup. I have both Roundup and Tordon RTU available. Some of the vines are the size of my ring finger. What herbicide(s) can I use...

    Backpack recommendations

I have two cheap ones from Walmart that are different sizes. I can use either and use a bungee cord to attach a small zip up bag, sack, etc to carry in clothes, boots, etc. It ain’t real fancy but takes care of my needs.

    Drone spraying herbicides…is that done?

I killed and burned some cedars 2.5 years ago. Autumn olives just blew up. I hope to get rid of most of them and they are not easily accessible on foot. I’ve wondered if a drone could be utilized for spraying. I plan on following with a tree planting the following year. Thanks for your thoughts.

What year did you start food plotting?

I think 1995 on property I owned. Small plots but effective. It usually took 2-3 guys most of the day to get it done. First plot was planted in November in Mississippi. For years we only planted wheat. I believe we planted the first Dbltree brassica mix plot in 2008 in Iowa. I’d never heard...
