Shellbark & shagbark are good by me in balanced #’s. Not preferred over things like oak but I do like them. Deer eat the nuts - many don’t realize that. Problem everyone sees with hickory- grow 10x thicker than they should be. Thinning is great. Shagbarks great for bats too! BITTERNUT...
If they had no $ motives- I at least applaud that. I’m sure there’s an angle - like above mentioned crop damage. Unlimited tags sure doesn’t sound like the wisest thing but I don’t know the situation.
If any game agency put the resource first, $ second - they would almost always make more...
The lib media will never acknowledge it or like ANYTHING - put their TDS spin on it. Here’s a screen shot which the lefty loons even get to put their perspective into….. look at how the BBC (hates Trump) has to TRY to put their wording &
Spin into every point below. It’s so obvious how...
I’m hearing iffy stuff. But in my situation…. I need it to last 3-4 years. Which I’ll just check it every few months. If any issues - I’ll patch it or fix. If someone wants something that will last say, a decade or more…. Run 8’ woven wire. That’s what i did on my tree nursery 10 years...
Alfalfa is gonna need clipped If u get a grazing type that’s more leaf & less stem…. You might get away with maybe 1 clipping. I still would though. Alfalfa just gets too woody & not digestible/nutritious if gets too mature.
For sure correct on above too… get all ur micro & macros right & ph.
U need to kill RC dead as dead gets. Smoke it with heavy gly, ams & oil & above if starting from scratch. If it comes into existing switch stands- yes- atrazine, oil, etc - it does fry it. Correct.
Rust, blight & really most other fungal issues: Dormant oil spray & copper in late winter, early spring. Covers tons of disease, insect, etc.
Myclobutinul & captan for growing season rust - label will tell u when - usually 2 sprayings.
Streptomycin sulfate for fire blight during season if...
Best prez of my lifetime.
Do I agree with all of it? NOPE.
After 4 years of a complete train wreck…. In 18 months we got: a closed border. Deportations & crack down on crime. Lower gas prices- YES- even with recent spike we are down vs Biden. Interest rates down. How many wars ended? 7 or 8...
My GUESS…. Load that thing up with dirt & little sticks or something so looks natural & feels soft. Deer don’t like hard or un-natural things to walk on. Gravel or pavement is good example & they get off it fast.
But ya- I remember some guys in MI doing this when I was young & they shot some...
U can spray urea with a few products i could post if anyone ever wanted to. So doesnt evaporate.
If u can add to above… run 100 lbs of gypsum as well. Covers sulfur & calcium. Everyone on here will be sulfur deficient.
I also run boron & zinc. Most coops have all this.
Start in sept…. When u gonna plant it? That fall like November? U can run oust on hardwoods & cedars. Not sure on caragana but check label.
What gonna plant all this with - tree planter?
I have tons of thorns & use that industrial sealant - almost never have a flat. The only exception is tubes.
Here’s stuff I got last & I got the pump- makes it crazy fast & easy. Almost bullet proof
There’s lower priced stuff for sure that works really well but if u want heavy duty no flats…...
I don’t mind it. Maybe if it’s crazy out of control & u have the time- could knock some out & replace with better stuff. It’s usually in tiny patches as well - why it doesn’t bother me. But on flip side- sure, u could replace with better shrubs.
Exactly right. The law was written 2 ways. One said for res & 1 didn’t specify. There was piles of laws like this in all categories on iowa state laws. They were tasked by Governor to go through all laws with multiple interpretations & clarify the correct intent. Had 0 to do with their...
Bet u that MN deer hunters association- the way u described it…. Bet u their membership is plummeting. My wild guess (with 0 insight)…. That group dies &/or a common sense group is created & overtakes that old school group that keeps MN in the crapper. Younger generation has had it with...
That is a fair point. I remember when that happened. The NRLO doe archery tag was getting abused extremely bad. So I do “get it” why they changed that. I don’t disagree with u at all & also understand why they changed that.
For residents- regs have been fluid as well & ever changing…...
I doubt wheatgrass is atrazine tolerant. Atrazine or simazine or pretty tightly aligned with only a few grasses when seeding….. switch, big blue & little blue. It’s maybe possible but I highly doubt it.
I’d skip the atrazine - just do gly. Then- u can spray later with a few options….. u...
