They develop thick coats in cold weather. Even down here in Georgia, there is a very noticeable difference in their coats in January versus July.

Hogs thrive in cold weather. Russian hogs are from cold climates. The extreme cold may help regulate their breeding but they’ll be fine.

I live in Georgia and love to hunt Iowa but I think this is a horrible idea. What makes Iowa great is limiting NR pressure. All you have to do is look at Illinois and Kansas now compared to what they used to be. Y’all need to fight this. Good luck with the fight.

I agree but we have the same issues in Georgia. My thoughts are, if you like your dogs, keep them where they’re supposed to be. If that’s a problem, then you’re the problem. Not the dogs. How could they get upset if you caught their dogs on your property? Down here, no collar, it’s SSS.

Just shoot them high in the shoulder straight above the front leg. They will drop on the spot, legs will curl up, they may kick a few times, then they’re done.
