    What county?

Not the two counties I hunt.

Aerial drone survey- Deer not bedding in Switchgrass Late season

My experience is that bucks like to push does in estrous into standing corn or switch to try to hide them from rival bucks. They also like waterways and fencerows for that.

    Paw paw trees

I never got fruit like previous pictures in this thread and I had many apple trees nearby that the deer sought out. I planted a couple of apple trees away from the yard and the deer hit those. I won’t be planting more paw paws but that is just my bias. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Paw paw trees

They suckered hard for me (way down yonder in the paw paw patch?) and you need more than one for pollination. Didn't figure you'd only plant one but without knowing the sex, probably need to overkill the numbers to be sure.

I go to Rexco/Bobcat west of 380 up by CID for my Exmark parts since they are no longer on Highway 1W in IC.

    Paw paw trees

I had two up in the farmyard and they didn't live very long, might be a short lifespan on them? I have a friend who struggled with them in his yard as well. The hazelnut bush close to mine got browsed into the mushroom shape.

I saw a newer New Holland tractor with a rear mounted “boom” mower for sale just south of the Kirkwood campus south of CR last Sunday. I’ve seen countles use these for brush in ditches. I thought it would be great for mowing the face of our dam, but too much cash for such limited use. Sent...

    Tree Planting

I use busted T posts or knock the “spade” off them when placed near tree. Less root damage when pulling them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

While an Exmark employee was dropping off a mower for us to test, he got a call from another demo customer who put that one in a pond. LOL Don’t recommend an Exmark for that application, though very happy with it for our use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Holy Deer Damage

Going on a parts run the other day, I rounded a corner and the corn field on the inside of the curve was heavily browsed by deer coming off the river bottom on the other side of the road. Damage was significant but not as bad as I think your pictures show. Deer or coons? Deer eat the tassle...

And the corn market takes another dive (I don't watch it, just guessing).

    How much rain ? ☔️

Local farmers are having fungicide flown over their fields due to excess rain and humidity. Crops looking great to excellent though.

    How much rain ? ☔️

I was wearing ear:eek:muffs. Could feel a different vibration as well. Started to smell something hot. Sensory overload. ;) If it wasn't for the garden and orchard, I'd let the horses and cows out on the yard.

    How much rain ? ☔️

Heard a noise from the mower deck while mowing Monday evening, spindle was out on one of the blades. Parts backordered until Aug. 4. :(

Tactics for stopping or nailing poachers….

Robo Deer I totally support the use of these though some feel it is too tempting and is entrapment. Take their vehicle, their weapons and impose a stiff fine.

Ishi’s 2025 Fishing Journal! (Who Would Have Thunk)

I read through before the pics were visible and so glad that has been fixed. I like the idea of being off the ground in that truck set up. Planning on doing more trout fishing soon, both spin and fly. Thanks for sharing!

    How much rain ? ☔️

I would think the amount of rain locally says it should be a bad year for EHD, but I know of a leaking pond that will have a mud bank if it stops raining.
