Diamond back is step above in their product line but it would be nice to compare. IMO those are both over kill as far as power and size for midwest timber hunting.

Just quick thoughts. You really need to do your own research and decide what you want out of your trip. Western states and draws can get complicated and expensive. I think for the most part in Sept you're looking at archery or muzzy. Muzzy probably a draw no matter what and about a week long...
