Thanks! It is more about family time than anything. Definitely have made
many lifetime memories through archery and 3D.
Boys are chomping at the bit for deer season to start!
I have to admit I am a very proud dad. Coached football for 18 years, and did my best to coach LIFE as much as football.
Now I am just "coaching" my boys in archery and still teaching math. In the video below at about the 3:28 mark I can tell Tackett is about to get choked up describing
what...
I had similar experience many years ago. A doe had twin button bucks. They hung out about 12' below me for 45 minutes.
One of then was short in height and length but was really thick left to right. The other was really tall and long and thin.
Shorty was a very dark brown with a lot of black...
Down here in MO everybody is baling their CRP. Why? Last year a hay patch of mine made 61 bales. This year 18.
Talk is that the hay crop was a widespread failure which is why they released it, and farmers can sell it.
Why do some sell it? You may not need the hay but some in other places may...
Here is a video my 9 and 12 year old made. Favorite part is about 3:00 minutes and then from about 5:00 -8:15.
My son thought they may have burned the truck up. He couldn't see on the drone when they backed out of the
grass.
Been several years since I have talked to any of them. She passed away. Her son either owns it now or has sold it. Definitely not farm land price but it is still crazy what good IL ground has sold for.
I had an aunt that turned down $7000 an acre near Oswego IL back in the early 90’s. She wanted $8000. I thought she was nuts! Then in about 2006 she had turned down 75,000 an acre and was holding out for 87,000. This was on a 1000 acre track. All in one piece. She has passed and her boy is still...
I always figured that the affects of Covid shutdowns wouldn’t fully hit until about 3-4 years after they started it. I also remember the 18% interest of the 80s.
I shot fixed blades for 30 some years. Then decided to try several mechanicals. One deer I never found. The other two spoiled over night due to lack of blood trail.(like zero blood) So I have went back to fixed blades.
I guess I thought it was common knowledge that with a bow you want nothing to...
The boys and I have been watching some of the night hunting coyote videos on Youtube. As a football coach of 18 years, and a father, this is a gut wrenching story to watch.
After seeing this video I dug into a lot of Night Crew's videos. Chris Robinson produces these and he is a very gifted...
Not saying this would be fun. But picture a lot of what we have already. Tall buildings housing lots of people. Lots of vertical built greenhouse types of structures and small animals being raised.
We are about to the technology point where it might surprise people how little acreage it would...
What is happening is that as farmers have grown in size 300 acres used to be big. Now there are families that rent and plant 20,000
actual acres. There are farmers and people out there who have massive cash on hand. So they can pay what they want for a piece next to them that they really want...
If you are a bowhunter.....Bushnell Broadhead!!!!!
Just this fall my Leupold ranged a doe at 29, Wyatt's Bushnell Broadhead said 19.7 yards.
Had he trusted mine he would have shot over her. Their 3D scores jumped when they got the Bushnell Broadhead.
The major poacher deterrent that they are offsets any thing else in my opinion.
We have so much thick thick cover that you could know where a big buck is, but getting to see him in real life is another story.
Maybe in more open cover they would get you in rifle range.
We knew where a monster...
