Finally caught a coyote this weekend. They have been sniffing out my traps until now. 16 coon, 9 possum and finally a coyote

Will set some after bow season. Need to clean out some coon and possums for sure. Would like to catch some coyotes, but I haven't had much luck with them. Hope the beavers are gone, but any fresh chewing and those bastards will be targeted too

All black bull in pitch black with no flashlight . . . Nerve racking. Especially when they weren't there the night before.

Crazy couple of days. Tonight 6 bucks were all chasing the same poor doe. Biggest one was maybe 120 inches. Heard a crazy battle in the distance. Sounded like two baseball bats hitting. I wish I would have been close enough to see it.

Yesterday was a crazy morning. Chasing from dark until almost noon, but nothing over 120 inches. Watched a 1.5 year old basket rack breed a big doe in front of me. I was kinda shocked that she let him. My son said he must have had rizz. I didn'task

I walked in probably 45min before light today and had deer walking under me in the dark. A lot of it is luck and timing, but I think those deer would have spotted me if everything was the same but it was lighter

My brother and I were out trying some coyote hunting one full moon, fresh snow night and he wore one of those mad bomber hats. Didn't see the owl until it almost took the hat off of him. That had never crossed our minds.

Yeah, that is one thing I enjoy about Iowa. A bull in the pasture is the worst I've had to worry about.
