You all seeing that most bucks have shed already? I keep reading that guys are finding a lot of antlers. My cams on two different farms are showing bucks still holding their antlers. I have found several in or around fields but been staying out of timbers until cams tell me it is time.

That is quite a project! My project is 52 acres and that is a lot for me! I was fortunate to have favorable soils that is compatible with just about every tree and shrub imaginable. Will be lots of mowing and spraying!

I ordered about 21,000 bare root seedlings for spring pick up. Part of them from MO and part from IA state nurseries. I also have an order into Yellow River and yes they will ship.

I have not used the specific mineral recommended yet but hope to this year. My experience is that deer use mineral sites up to the point that bucks shed their velvet.

Anybody have a good rule of thumb for how many small alfalfa bales a guy should put out. I have a remote farm that i don’t get to very often and my foodplot is about out of food. If there are 20 deer hitting it regularly, how many alfalfa bales should i put out to get them thru a couple weeks?
