What about flying a property to get head count and determine bedding areas? Local drone company said it is there understanding that it is a “gray area” for Iowa and therefore they will only do it in Missouri.

I have the exact same thing going right now, just rebuilt a pond dam. I talked with Welter Seed and they recommended their “Soil Saver” seed mix which is a blend of cool season grasses. I just drilled the seed last weekend so praying for a couple of light rains.
