I’m more than happy with the service just did not know about the multi shot counting toward the starter and intermediate plan. I was just wanting others to know how it worked. I can assure this experience is what everyone under the starter or intermediate plan that does not pay the extra $9...
My starter plan shows 500 pics for 2 cams. Between the two cams I received 250 pics and the other 250 were from multi shot set on 2 which got me to 500 but only half show on the app. And the other half would never come through app b/c multi shot on 2.
Yeah news to me. Glad I mentioned it because sounds like I wasn’t the only one that didn’t know! I’d surely consider not having on 2/3 shot if ANY chance of high activity.
Maybe I am the only one that didn’t know this but with Tactacam Starter and Intermediate plans your photo count includes multi shot which is never sent to your phone but only stored on SD card. I had a cam blow up on leaves but stayed under my plan photo count on pictures sent to my phone...
Agreed. And I think that is why generally speaking MO doesn’t have the high end deer that everyone thinks it should. Hunters and antler point restrictions took the place of Darwinism and have caused the genetic quality to go backwards. I have heard the golden triangle in IL is the same way...
Could he also drill it in as a dormant seeding this Nov’ish? Pretty sure NWSG CRP plantings allow this. And could still spray gly on cover in early spring?
That is crazy because the first year I planted brassicas in a food plot the deer hardly touched them. I’ve read here that sometimes it takes a year for deer to develop a taste for them. Sounds like the size of the plot and proximity to bedding may have fast forwarded the deer’s taste.
I’m no lawyer but have had some dealings with this. There are some other criteria for adverse possession to be claimed and effective. A filing of fence of convenience I believe covers the landowner once it is known that the fence is off or when the fence is built off the property line.
Looks like 80% of the people surveyed already have said items or did I misunderstand the survey results? In reference to Iowa, I hear the same arguments that you are making: hunter recruitment/retention/access to quality experience, and there is a NR draw in IA already. As mentioned before I...
Typically OO is one of the last trees to green up in the spring but the deer definitely have browse lines on them. I would not have believed that deer eat the hedge apples but the last two seasons I have observed fawns eating the left over pieces where squirrels have broken them up to get to...
Another similar idea I use is half inch rebar cut to 9”. Use 5/8 or 9/16 (depends on desired snugness and if planning to remove set to set or year to year) drill bit on cordless drill and go in tree 4-5” and you have ready made steps. As BnB originally stated if in a theft area you can remove...
Interesting concept but pre-2012 saw way more mature large antlered deer harvested. Same percentage I don’t know but seems to me more deer equates to more bucks getting to maturity and able to reach genetic potential. Even with substantially higher deer numbers pre-2012/EHD I don’t think most...
This inflation deal doesn’t get better with lower rates, IMO. The numbers don’t make sense but we gonna have to see 2-3 years of low prices to see much slip in land prices. And probably no sales at that. Unfortunately this hurts the smaller producers and beginning farmers the worst.
Not many went broke. LOTS of working capital and equity in farmers hands. Charts show VERY little drop in land prices if even noticeable during that time. If rates continue up from inflation the LOC interest will start to hurt.
This is interesting because based on what Don said the podcast “I ASSUME” he is using Reconyx cams as he uses the Reconyx software to track photos. I do feel that certain cameras make noise and certain flash types spook deer. I have used Tactacam cell cams the past couple years and continue to...
