THE PLAN TO KEEP IOWA GREAT- CALL TO ACTION!

Because people nowadays want everything to be easy. Where’s the fun in hunting if there’s no challenge though? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The Good Ole Days

Dead is dead, that’s the truth. Few years ago I shot my big buck (176”), I was the only person to ever ask the landowner to deer hunt. Hunted the farm 3 years, as soon as I killed that buck 7 people asked her for permission to hunt that year. Not sure why people think that’s the spot they’ll...

    Best gloves

So I don’t wear gloves very much even late season. I usually have an electric hand warmer in my pouch though. I’m most likely going to switch to the G-Tech hand warmer pouch. Little pricey but everyone I know that has them love them...

A second ARCHERY tag in Iowa??

If you were to get two archery tags you better make one only good for October and the other only good for November. Mature bucks would definitely take a hurting imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Kicker 8

For this buck, I went with the new extreme sneak wall pedestal. That had just been released last fall, like the last shoulder mount I got I went with a form that was brand new just to keep things different. I think it turned out pretty awesome. Can’t thank Dylan Kral enough for the time and...

    Fall harvest

Local corn is coming out here in Central Iowa at 20-21%, beans are changing fast. Things are looking good here. If it stays dry things will be out before we know it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

CURTIS DID NOT MAKE IT! :(

I was stoked to hunt him. Unfortunately now that he’s dead the biggest deer I have to chase this year is this guy. I wish Iowa had booners around every tree but we don’t. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unifying Hunters on a wide front to fight the scum bags…..

That’s because he eats, sleeps, and lives for whitetail hunting. He literally talks to other hunters all day every day he hears everything. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Skip for about a decade now. I think he’s crazy for liking whitetails so much but they are his thing. He wants everyone...

Was pondering this... states obligation to non residents

Definitely a lot of variables as those properties can still be classed ag-1 with a residence and there’s still a big tax break. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oak Wilt

That’s what I’m getting from the forester’s suggestion as well. Kill a few by yourself to stop the spread or let it kill all your oaks. I know what I’d be doing. Sacrifice 10 trees to save 100. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    A little bit of EHD??

I see drought followed by enough rain to make the pond and creek beds muddy again being the best breeding time for midges. Just so happens we tend to have a drought most the year then get dumped on with rain for a week towards the end of summer. Could explain why biggest numbers of dead EHD deer...
