    Sugar beets.

Skip. These are not mine. Just drove by a field this morning, pulled in and took pics. I do believe they do like alot of nitrogen. Side note. The guy next to me (300 yards away) planted beets this year. Bout 80 acres. Unless we have a horrible winter, late season will be incredible for...

    Earliest Velvet Shed

With as nice of a winter we had last year, I'm guessing they got a Jumpstart on growth. Gut feeling is, bucks are gonna shed velvet a bit earlier then normal.

    Sugar beets.

For those that don't know about them, here's a glimpse. First off, they are planted in Apr/ May. Full scale harvest starts in early October but the plants that process them needs some now to make sure their plants are ready when it's go time. Beet growers just started (pre lift). I believe...

Its 77*, windy and 100% full sun yet

Hmm. Within maybe 15 minutes of posting this thread, they all just vanished and headed back into bedding cover. Calm as could be, like weirdly calm? Down to 72* now, winds layed down a bit and nothing stirring. Nows the time I expect movement. Oh wait, I see a fawn browsing lol. Nice looking...

Its 77*, windy and 100% full sun yet

The deer are moving like crazy . Watching out my back window (woods). They all seem so calm and relaxed even with the winds. Why?? They are browsing heavily on nettle, ash, boxelder, elm stump sprouts, and various other weeds. Some " factor" is going on. What it it?

    For those here that planted

This young buck just left. He hung around for about 10 minutes. He was eating Acorn, oats I just planted 6 days ago, he snuck in and grabbed a pumpkin flower, went and took a drink out of the tank ,went back to the oats until a doe n her fawn came in. She chased him off. Back yard bounty buffet.

Tell me why we should shoot more does

Winters here in nw Mn can dictate 【 year to year】 deer numbers more then hunter harvest. Winter of 22/ 23 were brutal on deer!!. Blizzards, EHD of the north.

    For those here that planted

Once pumpkins get rolling, they can do fine with weed competition as long as moisture is available.

    For those here that planted

Pumpkins, how are they doing? Mine struggled due to mice digging up the seeds so I had to replant later. Then hardly any rain for a month. They are coming " ok" and this big rain we got 3 days ago got them going big time, Barring an early frost, they may do ok. Anyone plant Mammoth Sunnies...
