Try a different sabot from Harvester. I think it's hard to beat the Barnes bullets for accuracy and what they do to a deer. Even though I'm shooting a 45 Encore, all the deer I've shot with the barnes expander 195gn have all been pass throughs with good blood. TC's are known for a tight bore...

I always have 2 of the cheaper ones, I think I got one at Menards and the other from Walmart. 10 to 12 hours in the blind I do like to listen to the radio to pass the down time.

CVA's seem to have a slightly larger barrel than other Ml's, might try a couple different Harvester sabots to get a tighter fit. I use Barnes in my 45 Encore, but I throw the sabots away and use Harvester sabots. I know they have different colored sabots which indicate a different thickness...

Sometimes it's pretty hard to tell if it's a button buck until after you kill it. A lot of hunters will let the big mamma go and take one of her off spring because they do eat better and the mamma will stay in the area and raise more deer compared to the off spring that might move on. Ok...
