Thanks for being there. Oh, and I ate my anysex tag too, I prepared it just like I did my 1st season doe tag!

    POLL: MOST BENEFICIAL REGULATION CHANGE?

Glad I'm not the only one who was having a hard time figuring out his logic? He lost me on the compensated part that farmers get, almost made it sound like you get extra money from somewhere for feeding the deer? And it seems everyone just assumes every LO anysex tag is filled, and only used...

    POLL: MOST BENEFICIAL REGULATION CHANGE?

So landowners feed and house the deer year around so you can hunt them a few weeks out of the year, but they don't deserve anything for doing that? Who owns these large plots of land you're talking about?

    Meat Locker lost my Antlers

Very nice buck and like already been said, lockers don't lose antlers. Someone saw them laying there and took them.

    Season over December 31

Good points that I have mentioned before about habitat, or lack of in places. I might be wrong, but guessing most who're wanting shorter gun seasons and no party hunting are bowhunters who didn't see as many trophy bucks this year? I think EHD killed a lot more deer in the heavily populated...

    Season over December 31

Sorta like hunting the rut then isn't it?

    POLL: MOST BENEFICIAL REGULATION CHANGE?

Bow hunter's might be more selective because after all the season is 61 days long compared to say 5 days or 9 days of the shotgun seasons? I know the deer numbers were very good around the late 90's and 2000, but just look around your areas you hunt now and see how much habitat is gone...

    POLL: MOST BENEFICIAL REGULATION CHANGE?

Nothing wrong with either. You need them in Iowa or we'll become like other states and have gun seasons a lot longer than we do now. I'm not sure why hunters can't see this? Sure it gets abused by some, but look at other states around us, what will happen to Iowa if we have gun seasons like...

    POLL: MOST BENEFICIAL REGULATION CHANGE?

I see a lot of comments about using straight wall rifles during shotgun season. Is it because some have an AR type platform? These cartridges don't shoot any further than a good shotgun with a scope, I know, I have both. Both are 200 yard guns for the most part. Yes some will shoot further...

    Camera law

Ya sometimes I'll go look at the card before getting into the blind to see what's been moving. It's not a live update as to what's moving at that very minute, but as it reads I can't do that. I don't consider that being the same, but as the law reads it does.

    Tags?

I got my 1st season tag online for the first time this year. Tag came but my wife didn't say anything so I called the DNR number for the license department and they sent me another one. When I saw the first tag my wife showed me, I just tore it up and threw it away. I didn't check if the...

What about .45 and greater caliber air guns for whitetail deer?

So if you want a challenge, why didn't you buy a spear versus a bow? Sounds like you're looking for a buddy in Iowa that will agree with you, sorry, maybe try another website!

No Doe shooting for ME…. U guys down?

DNR says as of today, 80,000 deer has been reported in the harvest count.

    High grading bucks

Unless you have a lot of land, it's a gamble to let a nice buck walk hoping he'll be back next year. Over the last few years I've let a couple good ones walk, yet to see them again but I know they're still there because my brother has seen them. It's up to the individual as to what they will...

    Blind for old boy

Hard to find cheaper ones, but at the time I bought the vinyl slider windows from Menards versus the ones I made from plexiglass in my 1st blind. They don't leak and keeps the inside dry. I've seen some used windows for sale that would good too. At the time I only paid $25 for the windows...

    Disappointing Iowa Gun opener

That had to be some pretty good public land because seeing 200" deer on private land is not a norm, even in Iowa.
