Unless the taxidermist honestly tells you it will be more than 1 calendar year and you agree, over a year is too long. I know a very good taxidermist that advertises 19 month TAT and he sticks to it so that's different.

Looks great! I love the iowa showing on the plate like its buried. Use sphagnum peat moss from menards mixed with water and elmers glue. Makes a very realistic dirt look

Grass is always greener I spose. I hunt a paradise in se iowa and I sometimes find myself thinking I'd sure like to hunt some river bottom during the rut. Some of my best hunts in the last 20 years were on public skunk river bottom.

Me too, if you want it to mount sheds on a shoulder mount you are better off filling the skull cap with Bondo and running screws up the antlers.
