I have a row of trees with acorns if anyone wants to get'em the old fashioned way.
They're PREDOMINATELY swamp white oaks when it comes to traits, but a few have some good fall color to them.
That's always a hard pill for the landowner to swallow when market corrections make the current cash rent rate unfeasible.
That can also affect prices since some landowners could decide a given farm isn't worth keeping.
This was interesting about 2020....
This county in NM had picked the winning president for 17 straight elections....they took the Don by 9 points in 2020 which broke the streak that started in 1952...
My daughter used to be much more of a hillbilly, but she has lost some of that as she gets older.
The days of making angels and rolling in the dirt are over….

I’m planning on some rain, and the field I’ve already prepped has good soil moisture in it.
If you don’t have that yet and can’t water; I’d wait till fall.
Seems late to have poults this young?
They’re definitely turkey tho, I could hear the “kee kee” coming from some other chicks in the forbs.
The oats and young alfalfa is definitely some great brooding habitat as that’s what they were coming out of.
Wherever their emotional based decisions lead the death star….

This tender morsel is an added bonus for the larger shrimp with their heads still on. I like to deep fry them and then sprinkle white cheddar powder on them to dip in butter. It tastes exactly like white cheddar popcorn IMO.
