    Doe Factories

All my habitat work centers on making as much cover as possible that is also food. How many acres do you have in crops/timber or brush/crp?

No Doe shooting for ME…. U guys down?

Didn't see very many does with twin fawns this year from sightings or cameras. I'd agree the coyotes are a big reason for that.

    Pheasant rebound…

Just goes to show the biggest issue with upland game birds is habitat. You could have trapped your heart out back when there were a few dozen birds and not seen any improvement. There's guys moving 7 coveys a day still in MO on farms managed for upland game bird habitat.

    Apple/Pear Trees

There's a pile of choices out there. Probably the most highly sought after is Blue Hill. You have to be on line the day of ordering for most of the varieties. https://bluehillwildlifenursery.com/ I also like Whitetail Crabs, you can still get a lot of their varieties last I checked...

    Great Rifle Opener in MO

Passed some good young deer. The two bucks in this first pic put on a show. The one buck snort wheezed at the other buck. This young 10 has a lot of potential. My son shot this buck opening evening. The moment just before the shot.

Turning the corner in the real estate market?

That's the sign that this isn't sustainable. Some type of correction is due as it simply can't double every 5 years in perpetuity.

Turning the corner in the real estate market?

I sure hope people are paying cash for these farms.... People said $750 an acre was too much for rec land in northern MO 20 years ago.

    Apple/Pear Trees

I wait to have them shipped till early spring. I graft the scions to the rootstock and store in a cold garage for them to callus over. They’re pulled out of the garage and planted in trays later in spring. They’re babysit till fall when I take them out to their permanent home. Usually get 3-4’...

    Caught Some River Flathead Catfish!

40-45 was my guess Never weighed it tho. There's literally 3 trees that fell in where most all of these flats are coming from within 50 yards of each other.
