The theory there is lot more critters running around because of no trapping & less hunting so better chance for the fox to catch distemper lots higher

I won’t shoot any fox just coyotes

Just talked to a Iowa wildlife biologist he said gray Fox almost gone due to the fur market what it is a more spreading of distemper and gray fox are real susceptible to distemper.

Anyone seeing any gray fox I haven’t seen any for I can’t remember DNR are looking for reports of seeing any or any that have be trapped they just want Data. They also will pay $400 for any that are trapped alive

May I ask how many ways do you know how to trap coyotes I know dirt hole sets & snares that’s the only two I know. Is there other ways tricks of the trade.

Red oaks are ok and deer will eat them but they prefer white oak acorns and red oaks are more susceptible to oak wilt .

When calling I find four buck is real effective out to forty yards when calling I’ve had three come in at same time shotgun works best sometimes

So you wonder if it hit just the top of the spine barely you would think there would of been some nerve damage though boy them animals are tough. Just crazy!!!

I don’t think the spine would of been totally severed or she would’ve of dropped in her tracks. But yes they are incredibly tough .
