Hunting lease website- check this out!!!

I’ve watched this site for awhile and the prices are insane. Lots of different stipulations on them too.

    Always something new...

Nothing new this year for me- focused on some other things so I kept it simple. Next year though I have my eye on trying something really off the wall but the deer have been hammering them in the yard so we’re gonna try

    Planting and Managing Walnut Trees

Yes- yard trees are basically junk. One piece of metal can ruin a tree too. What I’ve seen done, planting from seed (most readily available) and then get a fast growing “junk” tree to help your rows. I’ve know people to use cedars or arborvitae, but as terrible as it sounds, junk box elders work...

    Giant Sunflowers for rubbing posts

Yes- that’s why I switched. Used to do the paper but if I ended up forgetting a night it seemed to be a disaster. Plus with sunflower- when you pull the seeds out of the flower you get a lot of “junk” with it. So the fan helps blow that out. Also- do not store in plastic- the Manila envelopes...

    Giant Sunflowers for rubbing posts

I do it all the time- biggest thing is making sure they are dry. I use an old screen door and a fan. Helps blow the unwanted out and moisture control. Works great and then you have plenty of seeds

    Iowa Cell Camera rules

But isn’t that the same for county land too? (Not allowing stands and such) Seems pretty grey to let the counties make their own decisions on cameras- or did I hear that completely wrong?

    Giant Sunflowers for rubbing posts

For me- if I only do a few they eat the leaves off. Last year they got 2 rows 80 feet long in one night- next day I had to fence off. Once they find me and know they like them- it’s like candy

    Iowa Cell Camera rules

My real question is when does this go in? July 1? When the regs come out? Now? I know several guys who just took cams out this last weekend (and have seen 2 on public already)

    Caitlin Clark Olympic Team

I was able to attend the B10 tournament and you aren’t joking about her passing. It was crazy to see in person

    Bobcats

We have plenty in Allamakee- Mitchell- and Cerro Gordo. Oddly, our Buchanon County farm we haven’t seen one yet

    Northern MN?

I think they want a bit of northern feel, but we’ve been to Big Stone area multiple times and they like that area too. None of us have big boats for “big” water so medium sized? Their first initial conversation was “northern MN, Lake of the woods” I went to the Tech school many years ago in...

    Caitlin Clark Olympic Team

I have to suspect UConn coach and Dianna T had a lot to do with that decision- my opinion which doesn’t matter- they are a fool to not have a rookie out of that class, and especially Clark, on the team for the future.

    Northern MN?

Late Spring of 2025 apparently the in laws want to go to Northern MN to fish/boat. There would be like 8 adults and 6 kids I think. Looking for some recommendations on where to head to- they want family friendly and a beach. Pry 5-7 days if I was to guess. For context, the last fishing trip we...

    Apps for tractor speed?

Looking for an app to rough gauge my speed/confirm my speed. Hopefully to stay more consistent because sometimes I am not real sure I’m staying focused and suddenly think I’m in nascar and need to be consistent for spraying

Turning the corner in the real estate market?

37 acres of river bottom by me just sold for $4700/acre. Guy had it listed at 12,000 and wouldn’t budge when I talked to him. Find out 3 months later that’s what he took- dang it.

    FISHING ‘24! GO!

Super jealous of all the fishing. We’re hoping to go to northern wisconsin in August- but not sure yet. Haven’t had the boat out in 2 years- that needs to change! Keep the pics coming! Love seeing it

    CRP Design Question

Seems to look good, but whats the area further away look like for bedding options? Looks like a familiar piece of ground which I am sure its not, but the way one I know lays, I feel like you would pull a lot of bedding deer, so you would really have to think entrance/exit strategies with that...
