I hunt a few farms that have very thick low lying timber cover and bucks just aren't there in the summer despite there being crops & alfalfa surrounding the cover. Probably more important if you're buying but what I've noticed is most good farms or deals don't make it to market/online listing. So I'd say if you're buying with an agent, you need to feel confident that your agent or agent's company has a strong network or ability to network to find farms...

Thanks for info. I can't really see anything significant for hardwoods that are coming up in these dead areas yet it just looks like reeds canary grass hung up on all the ash deadfalls and treetops which have created a bunch of pocketed deer beds. I was just glad to not see bush honeysuckle.

I sent my opposition to this to all 100 house member emails and also received two responses so far pointing out that Charlie McClintock (Charlie.mcclintock@legis.iowa.gov) in district 95 is running this bill. At minimum, it’d be great if we could keep emails going out to our own house reps...
