I am looking to likely purchase an aluminum bassboat this spring. I currently have a 18' fiberglass Fish and Ski boat with a 150hp Mercury outboard that is just too big a boat for the type of fishing I like to do.
Does anyone have any experience with Lowe or Tracker boats? I really like the...
Anyone have one of these or know someone who does? .... Any reviews on this? ..... does it do a good job of putting helical twist on the blazer fletch as advertised?
Anything you do not like about the jig?
Another vote for the Petzl.... I just got mine this year and I love it! The red filter is great for slipping into the stand early morning and coming out after dark. :way:
The biggest mistake guys make is overbowing and shooting too long a drawlength (In my opinion) ... form really suffers when you are shooting too much poundage. I have been shooting 56lbs with my compound ever since I switched away from traditional gear. So easy to handle in a tree after...
Ask Travis 'Central Iowa' if rattling works this time of year .... he just harvested one of the nicest 8pts a guy could dream of a couple days ago. He taped out at around 169" !!!
His pictures are posted on the PMA harvest forum.... under "Mega 8pt" :way:
Mature bucks have...
Iowabucks,
This is just my opinion.... if you are getting good trailcam pictures then you know the deer are there... at least early on.
With that size of parcel... if you have been in there 34 times then you have likely alerted the local doe herd and they are no longer viewing your land as...
I think if we can get the daytime high air temperature to stay below 50 degrees we will see a big jump in daytime movement.
As far as the rub.... my experience has been that especially this time of year, most bucks especially younger bucks will rub their antlers and foreheads on the larger...
Sounds like the head may have glanced of the shoulder blade....sounds like he will be a little sore for a few weeks but likely no worse for the wear. The single lung hit article I was referring to I believe was written by Randy Ulmer... who also is a veterinarian.....
I have been using a HBS now for almost 8 years. I love mine. It can't be beat for staying warm while bowhunting on stand all day in cold weather. The thing I love about it the most is the ability to shoot in lighter weight clothing without all the bulk of heavy layers trying to stay warm. My...
That is the crazy part about this time of year.... he could very easily be 1 to 2 miles away cruising for does..... it certainly is a double edged sword :(
In my opinion it takes a TON of kinetic energy to blow an expandable head through a shoulder blade. It is difficult enough with a fixed blade head. It sounds like at the very best you may have punctured one lung. Which may or may not be fatal. I read an interesting article a while back...
I am totally impressed with Badland's pack quality. I have the Nano pack that I love for all day whitetail hunting and the 2200 is great for carrying turkey hunting blinds and gear. This new bino pack look very interesting... I may have to check it out further.... thanks for sharing the photos...
