If I recall, you can't trim anything EXCEPT willows up to 1" diameter. Public guys, does that sound right?

I would lean towards 5, only seen a couple confirmes 4 year olds with body mass like that.

I used to have permission on a dozen or so cool properties, but fatherhood and family life can act as a temperance, and just maintaining relationships with that many landowners is a LOT of work. Now I mainly focus on 2 private chunks, with some random hunts on family ground thrown in.

What he said. ^ Those deer are awesome. Hunt hard, and for that moment when you have to decide. If any of them comes in and makes your heart start to pound...that's your answer.

Exact same scenario happened to dad a couple years ago. A little forward and a little high...a month later when he killed the buck, he was healthy and rutting. We recovered 10" of arrow and the broadhead. It had slipped below and between vertebrae and barely knicked the chest cavity.
