Got a few interesting trail cam pics so far. Three legged made it through the winter and she looks good. Just saw her out in the field tonight with her fawn behind her. Don't know what happened to the buck's leg but it'll be interesting to see if he makes it. And a big doe about ready to pop.
Was suprised to see this guy on the camera after taking down my cameras... Never seen this guy before. Must have just been passing through. Kinda hard to believe usually they have already started new growth.
The areas in ne iowa are way down and I don't see any stopping in this with the amount of shotgun hunters. On our one property, every buck we had on the cameras was either shot or we found dead except for one spike and a smaller eight. Hardly see any deer now compared to couple years ago.
The past couple years we've had a three leg doe that has hung around our property and she survived all the hunting seasons this year. We even had video of her with a fawn earlier this past fall. Amazing how tough they are. Just curious anyone have any ideas what might have happened to her leg?
I sent a letter in and recieved the same word for word response. Looks like when they see something about the deer numbers its just a copy/paste and then hit send! Frustrating as I too feel nothing will be done and it will just keep going down hill. So much for hearing our opinions when they...
We put an end to shooting does three to four years ago and it the numbers have kept going down and down... Be interesting to see its like next year as second season was so nice many people hunted more than usual around here...
