I think you'll probably be fine with the smaller trees and shaking the dirt off. The 4 ft and larger trees I try to leave as much dirt on as possible to help hold moisture in while transplanting and keep from damaging the roots any more than I have to. Keep in mind the larger trees will need...

Didn't have much time today, but I got some cedars transplanted to start a screen along a bedding area where we've lost a lot of cover. Dutch elm has been hard on some of our timber stand. I hope to do more in the next few weeks. I transplanted 13 anywhere from 2 ft to 4 ft tall.

Another vote for avian x. Easy to pack in and out. You get what you pay for with decoys. The more life like the better

The kids will probably get their crossbows. I really don't agree with that early of a bow season, and then if you don't fill your tag you get to hunt the rest of the regular bow seasons? We have plenty of time to kill deer we don't need more time. To dang hot then anyway. Just my 2 cents
