I have not read the law myself so I can't speak directly to your claim. I can tell you a shot gun group used the same ploy on a farm I hunt a couple times before the landowner got wise, He called the CO. The CO told them the next time they better be able to show blood. No more problems.
I don't know and I pointed that out specifically to everyone on the subcommittee. Specifically that a NRLO would probably be able to "outfit" themselves.
I don't disagree. I'll go further and say they, for the most part, don't give a chit about hearing from anyone but their own constituents anymore. I'm watching hunter related issues in other states as well, mostly Montana this year, Legislators there have labeled the considerable attention...
That sucks too.
I'm not seeing a lot of push back or talk about these issues this time around. I'm guessing people are worn out from the past few months. That's understandable but this stuff is sliding through because of it.
Crossbow in Archery season will absolutely result in more tags sold. Just take a look at the numbers from Wisconsin.
I really don't care if someone hunts with a crossbow. Though you are making the point of a lot of guys agruements against them. I've seen fully able bodied men not able to...
Yes, but if you traditionally hunt Shotgun you're out of Muzzy. Now that hunter may decide to pick up a bow tag just to hunt late split with a CB. Once that hunter has a CB and an archery tag they'll soon be wanting in on the first split.
This bill isn't aimed at the archery hunter who decides to take out a CB if they have an unfilled tag. Now a person that has never had any interest in bow hunting can get a late season tag after hunting shotgun. Not sure I can actually call that a bad thing but it does have the potential to...
Cool pics. Never saw any in Eastern Iowa growing up. Now see or hear them regularly. Pretty sure there's a small nesting populations scattered around the state.
I really hope when we are discussing the events of this legislative session and their effects on hunting, fishing and conservation we can keep these kind of comments to ourselves.
I like heavy and accurate but not necessarily fast from my bow or muzzy. Just getting into bolt action rifles so experience is limited but I do know I don't like muzzle brakes and I also don't like excessive recoil. If that means I need to get closer to my target so be it.
