How long is meat ok to use?

I suppose as long as you didn't break the diaphram into the stomach cavity it would probably be ok. Would I risk it? No Do you have a dog? May be a good candidate to grind up and feed Fido. It sucks just probably not worth it to consume. IMO

    Buck shot - Need help!!

You never know. Always follow up as much as possible. I shot a mature buck Fri in the lower half of his heart with a clean pass through. I watched in disbelief as he lived for just under 1 hr before expiring. Long story short you can't always explain why or how they live or die but there is...

    Cereal Grains and cover crops

I think you may be ok. I drilled in peas about Aug 1 in the same bottom ground which has got rain after rain after rain on it. They have done fairly well considering the amount of rain. About 2 weeks ago I broadcasted rye and clover on the peas. Shortly after we got a 5" rain on it. I didn't...

Roundup residual Next question.... Is there a residual you should watch out for from round up. For example I brush cut weeds and grass a couple weeks ago. I spayed round up early this week. I'm planing on 2 different plots. Brassicas mix and pea mix. I fear there being a residual left over...

    Field Peas

Did you look into the windham peas. It sounds like they may be a bit more tolerant to the cold. I think I may try mixing them with the cow peas and maybe a bit of rye also. Does that sound like a possible winner? Also would around the 1st of Aug be about right for planting?

I was wanting to try a new fall plot this year and was considering peas. Does anyone have any experience with them lately and is that a good addition to beans, clover , and turnips?

    early season elk calling

I would agree. Lots of miles, light cow calling, don't be afraid to be aggressive if you do happen to stumble into a group. Most of all just stay persistant!
