Im going to put together a dedicated hinge cutting saw.
Going to grab an older model completely refurbished stihl 026 but would like to keep running a 3/8 chains. Does anyone on here have an trouble finding 16-18" 3/8 non safety chains?
Other saws are all 70cc+ sized saws and usually run...
Best cheap reliable camera you can buy. I have 2 that are going on 4 yrs that work just fine iver mineral or bait. They do drain C batteries but they just keep working
Your good up until that "one little spot" is hit.
Id focus now in tuning that thing to perfection, I was in the same boat as you a few yrs ago and was shooting a 550+ grain arrow at 260 fps until i hit that one little spot that it would take an OZ of lead to get through.
I went from a 125...
I fully agree with booner. Im more than lucky to hunt some family owned ground and that i will always have.
The other properties i hunt are all on being honest and hardworking. Ive never paid a dime in currency to hunt but you can bet the farm im payed it out in sweat.
Loading hogs at all hrs...
If you girdle or just flat drop a locust over the thorns will fall off in about a yr.
Great firewood. As for hedge.... hot hot hot. I dont burn any but have many friends that do. Hard on chains/ hard to split and it never really fully dries out.
I cut 4 heaping loads of soft maple today. Talk...
We are on the same page then. All the big trees end up as firewood and girdle the others.
We try to leave honey locust alone as the deer really flock to the pods.
We cut alot off black locust for firwood though
The first one that i ever had come to the call did it in 2 ft of snow and came completely from behind me and ran into my backpack... that was still on my back!
I ended up shooting that yote at about 6 yards with a 3 1/2" hevi shot dead coyote load. You can expect some pelt damage at that range...
I couldn't even begin to count how many set ups it took before it finally worked. Its a blast thought and i dont get out enough to do it.
Right now is a perfect time to use territorial howls since its nearly the coyote "rut"
I won't keep a rifle that won't shoot moa or minute if whatever I intend to shoot it at. I've owned a few lemons over the hrs and they won't get a place in my gun safe
If anyone wants to check out an absolute scrap between two mature bucks check out midwest whitetail tv.com and scroll through the updates. One of the best all out fights ive ever seen filmed.
Ive heard deer fight and have seen sparing but ive never gotten to witness a true fight
I cut over 15 cords of bulldozed locust last winter that was next to a small feeder creek that had flooded a few times and i was switching chains all day and then sticking the 25" bar on at night and burning through 3-4 chains the next day then back to the file all week... nothing worse than...
Thanks man. I think im going to grab one for cutting hedge and other wood thats been laying on the ground where rivers and creeks flood. Dirty wood takes a toll on chains and i hate stopping to file a chain on dirty wood
Ive read mixed reviews on these and was wondering if anyone on here has actually used one for any lenght of time. Looks like a good idea on paper but they are pretty pricey
Its smooth as silk but i still cant see how they can claim it isnt a cam....
There are other bows on the market that are nearly as smooth that are also alot faster ibo and to me that's kind of important with a short draw and heavy arrows
