One day this will come to pass! Own at least 70 acres and you get one NRLO tag. This would go a long way for keepings guys from getting into the gray area and provide some nice revenue for the state of Iowa.
Anyone know if a guy buys a resident lifetime small game/ habitat license and then retires to Florida and no longer qualifies as a resident, does he lose this lifetime license?
I believe they were the ones that promoted the limited number of NR archery tags.... Bowhunters are the only group that is unfairly treated in the NR draw. Correct me if I'm wrong......
Not to menttion that every Colorado resident is not allowed to shoot three bull elk and practically unlimited cows! I had 2 points going into the draw for zone 5 and didn't draw a bow license. I don't know any other state that is so restrictive to NR bow hunters.... At this rate I'll only be...
I was refering to the percentage of available NR tags that are allocated to NR archery hunters...... not the overall number of NR tags..... I would think that a NR archery hunter would spend more time and money in Iowa than a gun hunter and based on history.... they would shoot fewer bucks...
Too bad when a few wreck it for the rest!! Seems like the NR bowhunter is not welcome in Iowa.... Limiting the percentage of NR tags going to bowhunters... Never really understood that?
If you are insinuating that I'm just making up stuff to hurt Rick and that because I disagee with some of the ideas presented on Iowawhitetail that I'm a liar then you are a complete moron! I know Rick and I like him... I am just making a true statement and I would be happy to have Rick call me...
Laws change all the time...... Change is part of life... I could shoot a doe with my bow when I bought my property and now I can't.... that is change.... The residency rules in Iowa have changed.... Every year there are changes to your regulations...... So it is OK when the rules change the way...
I wish you were right that the FOI had bottomless pockets..... If that were true I would be hunting all over the planet!! I like Iowa, the people and even the Blackhawks..... But it sure would be nice to go to my Iowa property and if a nice buck or doe passed in front of me within bow range (...
For all the NRLO relying on the "resident LO get 3 buck tags a year", I've owned my farm since 2003 and have never chosen to fill all 3 tags with antlered deer (maybe I am in the minority on that-but I have always filled 1-2 with antlerless deer by choice).
I look forward to your...
It is interesting that I keep hearing this mentality that says " It was that way when you bought your property and that's the way it should always be" I remember when I bought my property there was a NR archery "doe only" season.... Some NRs were abusing this so the DNR eliminated it..... So I...
I think everyone is getting too far out on their treestand.... The IBA does not care about the NR or the NRLO.... This bill does not "discriminate" against the NR as far as his chances of getting a license goes.... There would still be 6000 NR tags and these NRLO tags would be in addtion to them...
I didn't say NR... I said NR bowhunter.... we do not have equal rights compared to the NR gun/muzzleloader... this is a fact!! I can not shoot a doe every year with my bow......NR gun hunter can.... He can even party hunt and shoot a buck!! The NR gun hunter has a much better chance at drawing a...
