What in your opinion are the best things and or first things you guys would put time into once you have purchased a new property? What are some of the biggest mistakes you’ve made or wastes of money? Thought it would be interesting to hear responses from multiple experienced land owners.

What percentage of the value does the logger usually take? Just curious and trying to get some rough numbers. we plan to hire a forester to look things over at some point but I’m still just trying to pencil things out.

Biggest buck i've ever had an opportunity at ~200 incher, was right around thanksgiving cruising a trail at 11:30. you wont see quite as much action as the peak rut but the big boys get back on their feet. I really enjoy hunting this time frame because it seems like after the 15th most guys...
