Oops, I did it again... Haha! Bought another. This one is more put together. Between the two, I should be able to put together a great planter and the spare could still do someone else a lot of good.
I am preparing for a spring planting of switch heavy NWGS next spring. Probably a month ago I mowed the brome where I will plant this. With little to no rain, the brome has slowly greened back up. The forecasted low for Friday night into Saturday is 34 degrees. The bottom where I am planning...
There is a quite a bit of paperwork to make that happen. If you are even thinking about thinking about it I would talk to the FSA now and see what you need to do.

I go every fall and collect acorns across the campus at Kansas State University. We have been in a terrible drought, but so far it seems red oaks are loaded while most of the whites are bare.

This is exactly where I am at. I think the Rednecks are great, but I want to buy a Banks to try. I will say it will be hard to beat Redneck's customer service. A couple Decembers ago when we had those hurricane winds here at some point the door came open on my blind. Needless to say after...
Yeah, Rednecks have vent holes near the roof too. I’ve had nothing but good experiences I might add, but definitely not air tight.

I’ve heard the chest harness on the Hooyman manual crank improves on the shortcomings of the Solo. Havens bought one to try myself, but it’s on the list.

I see what you are saying, but I have to compare to someone owning a house, because residency either requires you do that or rent and pay someone else’s residential taxes.
Coastal elites may be the wrong term, but either way, outside money will outcompete the guy working at the Co-Op all day...
I’m not sure how Iowa is, but in Kansas a NRLO (assuming ag land/rec ground) pays pennies to the dollar in taxes compared to someone who owns a residence. $1M in ag ground might cost you a few hundred bucks in taxes where a $100k residence might be $2,500. I would hate to be that resident paying...
