Back when I listened to Meateater in the beginning Matt Rinella was my favorite guest. Great stories and was all about getting away in the mountains and not the fame. He was also big in BHA and providing some public access points. I haven't listened to anything of his recently but I bet his...
Matt had an IG account I followed and agreed with. Theres alot of people from the south and west that are not happy that their Fish&Wildlife/DNR programs were paying money to THP and others to promote NR turkey hunting in their states with already insane pressure and declining populations.
We have primarily stopped shooting does on our farm quite a few years ago. We live in mostly ag country but do have a big chunk of timber on our property. Neighboring areas get hammered by multiple gun groups and deer would disperse and then numbers would be low. No data to back any of it up but...
Agree with some on here. I think Trump has burned his bridge with many. There plenty that are upset with the way things are but still wouldn't vote for Trump and those are votes that we can't afford to lose.
I'm not Rob or Skip, but I've had a few officially scored and not entered. 1st one I just wanted to see what he actually scored officially, 2nd was needed for entering into the Iowa Bowhunters Association spring banquet awards.
As for reason not entering into the book is pretty simple. Those...
If I were to guess, the people posting on and lurking on this site have killed more than 83 booners in the last 3 years. And the reason is the same as posted above. Not everyone wants the publicity. Too bad everyone goes off of hunting shows and social media instead of that BC chart to decide on...
I've never noticed a difference in cold and warm shots on my muzzy. Wife uses it early and I use it late season. Main thing with late season is I keep the gun cold once it's loaded. I don't bring it in and out of cold to conditioned space. Creates condensation, which could create to a weaker...
I think there's alot of them that are thinking of ways to get more tags with this one. Now Taylor Drury can get an Iowa buck tag and live out west and get those resident perks also.
Do you know what the needed velocity is for those Parkers? I've seen the destruction they cause, but says they need high velocity muzzleloaders. Didnt know if they would work is a standard muzzy using 777 or Blackhorn 209
Barnes TMZ here. If you search using those words you should come up with some solid reads. Also think CWalker switched to Thors this year with great results
THP. They have a huge following and they make it look easy and fun in Iowa. Go from hunting birds and barely hearing a gobble down south, to the experience they show up here, I'm sure that sold a few tags
Read that earlier today as well. I have 2 main thoughts on that article. Those guys that were at the meeting with destroyed corn either suck at hunting or don't let anyone hunt.
And #2 is id venture a guess that most of that damage wasn't done by deer.
