    Replace strings WHEN

I bought a set of Proline Strings last year off AT and couldn't be happier. Peep never moved from the first shot. No re-tuning after 100 shots. Like some one else said there are a bunch of good string makers on AT and they're a lot cheaper than Winners Choice.

I've never done it but Ed Spinazolla says you can spray mature clover with 1/2 strength roundup. http://www.deerattraction.com/Article-4.htm

    Something rubs me wrong

After watching about 10 episodes of AST, I'm starting to think 90% of Alaskans smoke dope and carry a handgun. Kinda like watching a few hunting shows and concluding there's a 150 behind every tree in Iowa.

    G5 Montec

Same here. I've used them the last 2 years. Fly great but the blood trail is almost zero. Both my deer went down within 80 yards but I'm looking for a different head.

    Acquiring Permission in Quality Areas

Good thread. Once you get permission, I think building a relationship is huge. Also send them something after season and say thank you often. We have permission on a great spot in Nebraska (11 years now) and the landowners have 4 boys, youngest is now a senior in high school. We always send...

    .19 vs. .29 sight pins

Spot-Hogg will custom make the sight with any pins you chose. Any size or color you want. I have a wrap on mine hogg Hunter but I think it's too bright so I have it covered up all the time. But I think the wrap acts as a guard and helps protect my pins. I would go with .10 pins for 40...

Any options or experience with Hoyt CRX32?

I have a Hoyt Maxxis 35 and love it. I don't think 3 inches ATA is that big of a deal in a treestand. I've always had 35"+ ATA bows and it's never been a problem. It's more marketing hype than anything. Tim

Muzzle loader bullet hard to push

Iowadave hit the nail on the head. TC barrels run on the tight side so I had the same problem with my Encore. Switched to the Barnes and Blackhorn and now I have no problems loading. And my groups went from 3" to an 1". You won't regret trying this combo. Same combo works great in my son's...
