    Tips to catching pond cats?

The deepest spot in the pond. Sandy flats at night. Fresh dead chubs or smashed leopard frogs are my favorite in the fall. If the pond has cats in it, you shouldn't struggle to catch em.

    4 or 5yr old?

Awesome stuff, I'd go with 4.5. He looks to have a ton of growing left to do still as well. Is he on the list this year??

Last day for comments on DNR changes

Any word on the "buck only" quota for those designated counties from last year? Can't imagine they'd continue that for another year...

    Huge walleye

I think your completely correct, except if there was an exception lake in Iowa it would be Brushy. I personally know of 2 fish caught at the end of May that were over 11lbs and I can assure you they were no where near 36". The lake produces some freak fish. Wish they'd put a barricade over...

    Ipad to check cameras

Don't believe you can unless you download they entire card, at least it's that way on a mac, which I'm assuming the Ipad would follow the same software capabilities.

    Shed wars

Are you talking about the show on sportsman channel? Pretty sure those boys are after stuff out west if I'm correct. Which, from my understanding has been crazy for quiet some year chasing elk sheds. Go to youtube and you'll watch enough junk to make a guy not wanna look at a dang shed...

    Huge walleye

lol It's 4.5 inches longer, with each inch come weight. It's a lake walleye, which means unless conditions are perfect (running water and plenty of it) that fish didn't spawn or dump her eggs, most likely absorbed them. I've caught numerous 25" walleyes from that lake and almost all of them...

    Huge walleye

Was in duncombe last night and didn't see it. Since it's already public id love you to post a pic of it. I'm still betting the farm its no where in the ballpark of 36. Also betting picture quality is garbage, much like many of the pictures that make mikes wall. 11" crappie blows into a 16"...

    Huge walleye

Business must be slow for old mike over at the gas station for a fable of a story like this to surface...... 36" walleye is 5 inches larger than the state record. Walleyes of that caliber reach 17-18lbs. If that fish was in fact caught, it would have almost 100% been a state record, assuming...

    Must Be Nice!!

X2 Picked up easy 20 sheds less than 10 miles from your house Walker, if there was such a thing in Central Iowa, your home range would rank right up there. Mave found two bucks over 170 inches dead when EHD came through, those bucks didn't get that big by accident

    When Do?

Saw my first one today. City limits of Ames. Little booger was up walking around, so probably been on the ground for a few days. Kind of cool, knowing it takes roughly 200 days for gestation to occur, so say 7 months. That particular doe was bred Mid/Early November. Couple years ago, I saw...
