    Handheld GPS

The signal on my 450T impresses the heck out of me! I can get it to lock on wherever I am, and the signal strength is usually very good.

    Handheld GPS

I use a Garmin 450T that Ive had for a few years and I love it. I still look at aerial photos on my phone while Im out in the timber on occasion, but generally the GPS has way better signal strength. I also use Google Earth and Basecamp together to make routes, get a "big picture" view after...

    Indoor 3D Shoot This Weekend

I would definitely be there if I wasnt 3.5 hours away. That place looks AWESOME!

Cuddeback, Covert, Bushnell, or Wildgame Innovation

I have a few older coverts that work pretty good, but I hate the stupid remote I have to use to program them. A few years ago, I bought a few of the bushnell trophy cams and have been very happy with them. You have to be careful which model you get since there are like 13 different models...

    Muzzleloader Bullets

How does that work? I'm not a gun guy, so I don't know a ton of ballistics stuff, but I have taken a few physics courses in college, and it would seem to me that with the same powder load, a heavier bullet would drop more. I dont understand?

    Muzzleloader Bullets

My only concern is the first time they fail to produce a blood trail or decent expansion for me is when Im shooting at a giant buck.. then I will really be upset. I can tell you that the holes in that deer in your pic look pretty dang impressive!

    Muzzleloader Bullets

Shot a doe tonight with the SST, which is the first deer Ive killed with one, and I guess I didnt give it much thought (because she went 50 yards and piled up), but the entry and exit holes were nothing like the picture posted above. They werent a whole lot bigger than the bullet itself. Im...

    Foodsaver?

Just got a Kenmore one for Christmas. Havent had a chance to try it out yet, but my dad said he researched it before buying it and told me it seems to get better reviews and better performance than the Foodsaver ones in the similar price range. Not sure which model it is off the top of my...

    Binoculars

I used a pair of Vortex Fury 10x42 for a few years and was very happy with them. Incredible clarity, light gathering, everything for a $300 pair of binos. Only reason I got rid of them is because I got a steal on a pair of Zen Ray ED3s, so I decided to "upgrade". All the bird forums and...

    Makes no sense

If it's a safety thing (which I don't understand), what's the difference if I'm sitting in a tree wearing orange with a bow in my hand or a shotgun in my hand? How am I any more safe depending on the weapon I'm holding, as long as I am still wearing orange?

    Muzzleloader Accuracy Issues

Went out this afternoon to shoot it again. Shot 2 shots at 50 that were very close together, adjusted the scope and put the next one in the center. Moved back to 100 yards, and the next three shots were all touching the center 2" circle. Much happier with the results today! I'm not sure if...

    Ground blinds

Depends on the price range you are looking for.. I have a Double Bull Darkhorse that I love, but they are discontinued now. The Doublewide looks decent, but I'd rather have windows behind me rather than that door. A lot of people really like the Rhino XP1s, and they are very well built, but a...

    Windbreaker top

I have a cabelas fleece 1/4 zip pullover with wind shear that's pretty nice. I wear it on those days where it isn't quite cold enough to break out the heater body suit, shed hunting, etc.. But on days like today, I'd be in my heater body suit!

    Muzzleloader Accuracy Issues

I didnt get a chance to get out today and try shooting again, but I took the scope off and made sure the mount and everything was tight, and there were a couple screws in the mount and the scope rings that werent tight. I wouldnt say they were loose, but they werent tight tight. I put some...
